Anousheh Ashouri, a dual-national prisoner imprisoned in Iran, asked Boris Johnson for help in a voice message

AFP reported that Anousheh Ashouri, a British-Iranian dual national prisoner, sent a voice message from inside Evin Prison to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, asking for his help.
According to AFP, the British-Iranian citizen told Boris Johnson in a phone call recorded by his wife in London and provided to the agency that "we are facing desperation and need your help."
Anousheh Ashouri is a civil engineer who went to Iran to visit her mother about three years ago and was arrested. She was sentenced to 12 years in prison and a fine of 33,000 euros on charges of spying for Israel. Anousheh Ashouri's wife had previously called the charges against her husband fabricated.
He went on to say, "My fear is that the British government has forgotten us."
Anousheh Ashouri previously called for her release in April of this year, coinciding with her 66th birthday, by sending a voice message from Evin Prison.
With the start of the spread of the coronavirus, the Islamic Republic has released a number of dual citizens, such as Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, from prison on leave, but others, such as Anousheh Ashouri and Siamak Namazi, are still imprisoned.
Western analysts say the Islamic Republic uses dual nationals as hostages to extract money and privileges from Western governments.
