Iran and Hezbollah “Build Weapons Shelter in Damascus Suburbs”

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, citing reliable sources, says that Lebanese Hezbollah is building a shelter in the Damascus suburbs for weapons and drones sent by Iran. It is said that IRGC and Hezbollah experts are currently present at the site.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, citing reliable sources, reported on January 2 that Lebanese Hezbollah has begun building underground shelters in recent days to hide Iranian weapons and drones in the southern suburbs of Damascus.
It is said that Lebanon's Hezbollah and the Revolutionary Guards fear Israeli attacks on the Islamic Republic's drone and weapons storage shelters in Syria.
These sources say that Lebanese Hezbollah has kept villagers who own agricultural land away from the excavation site, fearing that their actions will be filmed.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights report adds that these excavations are taking place at an old army air base called "Dimas".
This air base was previously the intelligence training center for the Syrian Air Force, and has recently been handed over to Iranian and Lebanese Hezbollah advisory and proxy forces, and is under their complete control.
Syrian Observatory for Human Rights sources said that Iranian weapons, ammunition, and drone parts have been transferred for assembly to the Dimas air base located west of Damascus, near the Tias air base, known as "T4" in the city of Homs.
These sources add that the excavations are intended to conceal strategic weapons that have been sent from Iran to the border areas of Syria and Lebanon.
It is said that IRGC experts and some Lebanese Hezbollah experts who were trained in Iran are currently present at Dimas Air Base.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, noting that Iran has played a "key role" in the killing and displacement of Syrians, has called on international circles to work towards the withdrawal of the Islamic Republic of Iran's forces from Syrian territory.
