Arrest of "at least 26 Kurdish students and civil activists" in six Iranian cities

The Kurdistan Human Rights Network reported on Wednesday that in recent days, at least 26 Kurdish students and civil society activists have been arrested by security agents of the Islamic Republic in the cities of Karaj, Mahabad, Rabat, Marivan, Bukan, and Sarvabad.
The latest arrests were made on the morning of Wednesday, January 14, in the village of Selin in Oraman, during which Akram and Siamak Advaei were arrested by Revolutionary Guard intelligence officers.
Relatives of these two Kurdish citizens, in an interview with the Kurdistan Human Rights Network, reported that an arrest warrant was not presented and that officers resorted to violence when arresting these two civil activists.
According to the report, 12 of these 26 people were arrested by IRGC intelligence, but the name of the organization or organizations that arrested the others was not announced.
There is no information available on the status or reason for the arrest of those arrested.
