Unprecedented crisis in Tehran, killing of Ali Khamenei following attacks on Iran

Israeli media claims and joint US-Israeli attacks have turned speculation about Ali Khamenei's fate into certainty. An unprecedented crisis in Tehran!

The political atmosphere in the region has been hit by an unprecedented wave of speculation following coordinated attacks by Israel and the United States on targets in Iran. The attacks, which Israeli officials say hit sensitive sites in Tehran, have fueled claims about the health and even death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed in a televised speech on Saturday evening, February 28, that during a "surprise and extensive operation," complexes attributed to Ali Khamenei were targeted in central Tehran, and according to him, there is significant evidence that the leader of the Islamic Republic is no longer alive.

In this speech, Netanyahu, in a harsh tone, called Khamenei a "dictator" and claimed that the operation was one of the biggest direct blows to the core of power in Iran. He also announced that during these attacks, a number of senior commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, including "Zahra Haddad Adel", the wife of Mojtaba Khamenei, and "Mojtaba Mesbah Yazdi", the wife of Hoda Khamenei, as well as some key officials of Iran's nuclear program, lost their lives.

In another part of his remarks, the Israeli Prime Minister told Iranian citizens that now was the "time to end the status quo" and called on the people to take to the streets and finish the job; a statement that was widely echoed in regional and international media.

However, as of the time of writing, no official source in Iran has confirmed Khamenei's death, and the Islamic Republic's state media has called such claims false or unconfirmed. This denial comes despite the release of videos from foreign networks claiming that the body is that of Ali Khamenei.

Iranians are dancing and cheering in the streets after the news was broadcast on satellite channels. Israel's Channel 12, Menuto, BBC, Deutsche Welle and several other news agencies confirmed the news.
