Benjamin Netanyahu: We are destroying the Islamic Republic's "axis of evil" in the region

Yesterday, Benjamin Netanyahu announced the destruction of the Islamic Republic's "axis of evil" in the region.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attended a special session of the country's parliament yesterday in honor of Paraguayan President Santiago Peña. Speaking at the special session, he said: "Since last year's Hamas attack, Israel has been forced to fight what the Islamic Republic calls the 'axis of resistance,' but it is responding strongly to the Islamic Republic's belligerence."

The regime of Bashar al-Assad, according to the Iranian government, was the main link in the axis of resistance in the Middle East when it fell, and its fall has significantly weakened the regional influence of the Islamic Republic. Netanyahu, in relation to this issue, also considered the fall of the regime of Bashar al-Assad a direct result of the strikes that Israel has inflicted on the Islamic Republic and Hezbollah.

He said in this regard: "The strikes against the Iranian government and Hezbollah have set off a chain reaction throughout the Middle East and among those seeking liberation from this oppressive and tyrannical regime."

Netanyahu emphasized Israel's desire to establish contact with the new regime in Syria, adding: "If the new regime in Syria allows the Islamic Republic to re-strengthen its positions or allows their weapons to be transferred to Hezbollah, we will respond decisively and they will pay a heavy price."

He also published a message on the X social network, warning about the possibility of the new Syrian regime cooperating with the Islamic Republic.
