Leadership's emphasis on policy reform

Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi thanked the Supreme Leader for trusting the new members of the Expediency Council at the ceremony of the ninth term. He continued his speech by saying that we must master the facts and issues of the country in order to keep the country stable. He added that monitoring the implementation of the general policies of the system is very important, for this reason the Expediency Council bears a huge responsibility.

The leadership also emphasized reforming policies so that they are implemented properly. But which part of the country are these new policies hitting?

In his statements, Mr. Raisi announced that attention should be paid to the key axes of independence, freedom, attention to justice, science and technology, and the Islamic lifestyle. He mentioned all the issues that are not present in Iran today. Freedom of expression has been taken away from the people and they are treated with injustice and anger.

Mr. Raisi referred to the Islamic lifestyle. This means that they still follow the words of Ruhollah Khomeini, who declared in the early years of his rule that “national people are not useful to us, but Muslim people are useful to us.” Islam is opposed to nationality, the meaning of nationality is that we want the nation and nationality and do not want Islam, and this theory must be suppressed. What does this theory indicate? Is it other than that the rulers of the system are not members of this people, and the reason for their pressure and suppression is to keep only Islam and Islamists at the top?

Mr. Raisi states that these issues should be seen in the overall direction of the country. Are the policies that need to be reformed the ones that continue to perpetuate oppression and injustice and only impose an Islamic lifestyle on the nation?

He continued: "I emphasize the implementation of general policies, and I believe that the country should revolve around this." He demanded that legislators and other government and administrative agencies pay attention to general policies so that they can be implemented. He also added that they are fully prepared to cooperate with the Expediency Discernment Council.

Finally, he called on officials to make every effort to increase trust and hope in the regime's apparatus so that the people will have hope and the enemy will be disappointed.

The question is: Are these policies putting more pressure on the people? Should people trust and hope in a government that does not allow freedom of expression and kills people for its own survival?
