Rape and then congregational prayer by interrogators

A recently published letter from an arrested protester describes a rape followed by congregational prayers.

Mohammad Moghimi, a junior lawyer at a courthouse, published a letter on social media written by a protester who is currently hospitalized.

Mohammad Moghimi published this letter, which was written on the letterhead of the hospital under the supervision of the Iran University of Medical Sciences, and wrote: "This person was raped by interrogators during his arrest. He is currently hospitalized because the interrogators led him to pray after the rape, and the call to prayer reminds him of rape."

The protester asked the hospital director to turn off the loudspeakers broadcasting the call to prayer, but his request was not granted.

A person hospitalized wrote: "I, a patient in the Mehr ward, have suffered trauma due to the torture I suffered during my recent rallies, and the sound of the call to prayer reminds me of my nudity in the presence of three men and... "
