Threats Against Iranian Civil Activists Residing in Turkey

According to BBC News, a group of Iranian civil activists living in Turkey who support nationwide protests in Iran have told BBC Farsi that they have been severely threatened in recent days by Iranian Islamic Republic security institutions.
Based on documents provided to BBC, several key activists have been “threatened with death.”
These individuals have received threatening written and voice messages in recent days and have been warned that if they do not stop supporting the protests in Iran and holding protest gatherings in Turkey against the Islamic Republic, they will face serious consequences.
Additionally, at least three civil activists have told BBC that pressure on their families in Iran has increased in recent days, and families have been asked to encourage their children to return to Iran.
This comes as some of these activists, who did not wish to be named due to security concerns, have been prosecuted by the judiciary on charges of attempting to harm the country’s territorial integrity or sovereignty.
In recent years, Turkey has witnessed the assassination and abduction of Iranian opposition figures residing in the country by Iranian security institutions, some of which operations have been neutralized and exposed by Turkish intelligence services.
