Pope Francis reiterates call for ceasefire in Gaza

Pope Francis, the leader of the world's Catholics, repeated his call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

Pope Francis has called on Israel and Hamas in recent months to end the war and declare a ceasefire, but Israel has continued its air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip, leading to massive killings in Palestine.

Pope Francis reiterated his call for an end to the war and an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, urging the world to say: "Enough, please! Stop the war."

Speaking in St. Peter's Square in the Vatican, the Pope expressed concern for the children who were involved in the war and the effects it has on them, and called for the release of prisoners who were involved in the Hamas attack on October 7. He said: "Every day I carry in my heart the pain and suffering of the Palestinian and Israeli peoples, thousands of dead, wounded and displaced due to the ongoing hostilities. Do you really think you can build a better world this way? Do you really think you will achieve peace? Enough, please! Let us all say, Enough, please! Stop the war."
