Fars News Agency calls for mass executions like those of the 1960s

After the end of the Israel-Iran war, Fars News Agency called for a repeat of mass executions like those of the 1960s.
The Fars News Agency, affiliated with the Revolutionary Guard Corps, reacted to Israel's war with Iran and, while referring to the executions of the 1980s, wrote: "In the current situation, where some mercenary elements have provided information to the enemy with the support of Israel and Western spy organizations, they deserve to be executed in the manner of 1988."
In the 1980s, the Islamic Republic executed over five thousand political prisoners from prisons across the country, many of whom were buried in mass graves without names or markers. A crime for which Islamic Republic officials have so far refused to accept responsibility or clarify the extent of these executions.
The news agency also added: "Contrary to the propaganda of hostile networks that portrayed the executions of 2018 as against human rights and attempted to refer to figures like Raisi as the "Ayatollah of Execution," public opinion values the necessity of such a correct approach."
Since the ceasefire between Israel and the Islamic Republic began, dozens of political figures and civil society activists have been arrested in Iran, many of whom remain unaccounted for. In addition, the repression of religious minorities and the number of arrests have increased dramatically.
Manouchehr Mottaki, a member of parliament and former foreign minister of the Islamic Republic, said in an interview with the Islamic Republic Radio and Television: "The Islamic Republic must avenge its martyrs and bring Israel to justice. After a few hours of the war, Israel realized that it had not achieved what it wanted."
Abolfazl Shekarchi, spokesman for the General Staff of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Armed Forces, also stated: "Israel claims that Iran's skies are open to them, but we say that it was our missiles and drones that passed through the world's most advanced defense systems. The more severe the aggression, the more powerful our response will be than the enemy's."
He also added: "We will use the appropriate weapon to respond, depending on the type of aggression, and we have many surprises for the enemy that they will see in the field. Our military production is active and fast, and our hands are full, and we can continue the war for a long time."
