Suicide of a teenage girl in Saqqez

A 17-year-old female student living in Saqqez city in Kurdistan province committed suicide by hanging herself on Thursday, November 12. The Iranian Forensic Medicine Organization has stated that the share of Iranian teenagers in annual suicides is more than 7 percent.
According to HRANA News Agency, the news agency of the Human Rights Activists Association in Iran, on Thursday, November 12, 2020, a teenage girl in Saqqez city in Kurdistan province committed suicide by hanging herself and lost her life.
The identity of this teenage girl, "Priya Abedi (Mazvareh), 17 years old and a student at a high school in Saqqez," has been confirmed by HRANA.
The reason for this teenage girl's suicide was stated to be family problems, and her body was buried in the cemetery where she lived in Saqqez city.
Saqqez County is a county in Kurdistan Province in western Iran. The county seat is the city of Saqqez.
The Forensic Medicine Organization has stated that the share of Iranian teenagers in annual suicides is more than 7%.
