Trial of accused of participating in Iran's 1967 executions to be held in two months

Iraj Mosadaghi, a former political prisoner and researcher, announced on Wednesday that the trial of Hamid Nouri, accused of participating in the 1967 executions in Iran, will be held in about two months.

According to Mr. Mesdaghi, who is one of the plaintiffs in the Hamid Nouri case, Mr. Nouri's trial will be held in Sweden on June 8th, about two months from now.

Iraj Mesdaghi has referred to this trial as "the largest trial in Swedish history" and said that it will last for 89 sessions.

Hamid Nouri, who reportedly "under the pseudonym Hamid Abbasi, was a former assistant prosecutor in the Judiciary of the Islamic Republic," was arrested in November 2019 by a court order in Sweden.

At the same time, in an interview with Radio Farda, Iraj Mesdaghi introduced Hamid Nouri as the deputy judge of Judge Mohammad Moghisei and the one who played an "active role" in the executions of 2018.

Mr. Mosadaqi announced on Twitter that he will be the first plaintiff in court.
