According to this report, Abadan police officers had identified a robbery suspect some time ago and were trying to arrest him.
The investigation into the matter continued until two days ago when they learned that the suspect had been seen on a city street. Officers took action to arrest the suspect, disarming him and detaining him.
The defendant first recounted details of his thefts and then talked about committing murder and said he had killed his sister.
He said: "My sister had a suitor who I didn't like and I was against their marriage. When I saw that I couldn't prevent this union, I killed my sister."
The suspect is currently in custody and investigations are ongoing to uncover the details of the murder.
