US calls for immediate release of prisoners of conscience: Release Nasrin Sotoudeh, Morad Tahbaz, and Mohammad Hossein Sepehri

Morgan Ortagus, spokesperson for the US State Department, called in a message for the release of political prisoners in Iran who are at risk of contracting the COVID-19 virus.
Ms. Ortagus said in a message on Twitter on Monday, May 25: “We also join with the UN [High Commissioner for Human Rights] in calling on Iran to immediately release all prisoners of conscience who are at risk of contracting COVID-19.”
The US State Department spokesperson said in the message: “We particularly call for the release of environmental activist Morad Tahbaz, lawyer Nasrin Sotoudeh, and activist Mohammad Hossein Sepehri. They are eager to help the Iranian people. Release them.”
