Donald Trump to Iranian protesters: "Keep going, help is on the way"

Donald Trump released a message to Iranian protesters, encouraging them to continue and announcing that help was on the way.
In recent days, US President Donald Trump has urged Iranian protesters to continue their protests, provocatively announcing in a message on the social media platform Truth, in which he said: “Keep protesting and take over your institutions,” and that help is on the way. In this message, addressed to Iranian patriots, he explicitly wrote: “Keep protesting and take over your institutions,” and emphasized that help is on the way.
Trump continued his message by encouraging protesters to register as “murderers and oppressors,” warning that they would pay a heavy price. He also announced that he had canceled all meetings and contacts with Iranian officials and would continue to do so until the senseless killing of protesters stopped.
Trump's message comes as nationwide protests in Iran enter their 17th day, with unconfirmed reports of heavy repression, high death tolls, and widespread internet outages. Some Western sources have even put the death toll at more than 2,000, which cannot yet be independently verified due to unreliable information and internet censorship.
Analysts believe that Iran's recent protests are rooted in deep economic, political and social problems, issues that have been reflected in previous economic unrest in the country. These issues include high inflation, a falling national currency and public dissatisfaction with the government's performance, a backdrop that protesters call "structural oppression."
But is Donald Trump's message one of support or an escalation of the crisis? Trump's statements are controversial in several ways:
Support without details: Trump has promised that “help is coming,” but has not provided any specific explanation of the type of assistance, whether political, economic, or even military. This type of ambiguity has also been highlighted in the international media, as the announced assistance is “without details” and it is not clear how it will be implemented; but analysts believe that Trump’s lack of details may be because it is a surprise and unpredictable action for the authorities and the repressive forces, so that they do not have a chance to respond.
Inciting protesters without an action plan: While Trump is calling on protesters to “take over the institutions,” this call has been made without a clear strategic plan, an action that could escalate the situation and pave the way for a more severe response from the Iranian government.
Impact on diplomacy and regional tension: The cancellation of meetings with Iranian officials announced by Trump indicates an escalation of tensions and could push the diplomatic atmosphere towards a further stalemate, especially at a time when Europe and other global actors have repeatedly called for a reduction in violence and respect for human rights in Iran.
While verbal support may be popular among sections of protesters, without a clear strategy, such messages can be perceived as dangerous and expose protesters to more severe repression.
Other reports indicate complex discussions in Washington about various options for supporting the protesters, from expanding internet access to military options, but no concrete decisions have yet been made.
Media outlets and analysts have warned that the "call to take over institutions" could provide a pretext for escalating domestic repression in Iran, an issue that would not only harm the lives of protesters but could also deepen the crisis, unless Donald Trump foresees the consequences and then acts.
Donald Trump’s recent message to Iranian protesters, with provocative slogans and the promise of “help is on the way,” has provoked widespread reactions in the media and among analysts. While these statements can be seen as a form of symbolic support, the lack of a practical plan and concrete details has made this message (despite the enthusiasm) seem more like a fruitless political provocation than an effective strategy for resolving the current crisis.
