Israeli Army Chief of Staff: Confrontation with Iran's nuclear program will increase
The Israeli army's chief of staff says his country will continue its actions to destroy the Islamic Republic's capabilities.
According to the Times of Israel, Aviv Kochavi, the chief of staff of the Israeli army, said on Tuesday, October 4, that operations to destroy Iran's capabilities will continue anywhere and at any time, and that the program against Iran's nuclear program will be expanded and optimized.
According to the Times of Israel, Aviv Kochavi said on Tuesday, October 4: "Operations to destroy Iran's capabilities will continue, anywhere and at any time."
He added: "Preparation of operational plans against Iran's nuclear program and their optimization will continue."
Mr. Kochavi also said: "The Israeli military and intelligence agencies are very aware of what is happening in Iran."
The Chief of the Joint Staff made these remarks during the introduction ceremony of Aharon Haliva, the new head of the Israeli Army Intelligence.
At the ceremony, Major General Tamir Heyman, the former head of Israeli military intelligence, called the Islamic Republic of Iran a "tyrant and totalitarian regime that suppresses its citizens," and said that although this regime is currently stable, "its end is overthrow."
He added: "History has taught us what happens to such [criminal] regimes."
Aviv Kochavi previously said that Israel has "drastically accelerated" preparations for action against Iran's nuclear program.
