Four-story building collapse in Kermanshah claims at least two lives

Iran's Emergency Organization reported the collapse of a four-story building in Nosud, Kermanshah, on the morning of Thursday, June 9, killing at least two people in the incident.
According to the ILNA news agency, citing a spokesperson for the country's emergency organization, the number of victims in the incident, which "is likely to have been caused by an explosion caused by a gas leak," was two as of 11 a.m., and seven injured people have been pulled out of the rubble so far, four of whom are "not in good physical condition."
However, the emergency official emphasized that "the possibility of the explosion being caused by a gas leak is still not certain."
This incident occurred one day after the Mashhad-Yazd passenger train accident in the Tabas region, which resulted in the death of 23 people.
Also this month, the collapse of the Metropole Tower in Abadan claimed at least 41 lives, an incident that brought the issue of building safety to the forefront of the news in Iran.
