Zohreh Sarv was sent from Evin Prison to Taleghani Hospital in Tehran.

HRANA News Agency – Zohreh Sarv, a political prisoner, was sent from Evin Prison to Taleghani Hospital in Tehran due to her poor physical condition.

According to HRANA News Agency, the news agency of the Human Rights Activists in Iran, political prisoner Zohreh Sarv was sent from Evin Prison to Taleghani Hospital in Tehran.

An informed source told HRANA: “Ms. Sarvo has been transferred from Evin Prison to Taleghani Hospital following her deteriorating condition and has been admitted to the hospital’s ENT department. The level of infection in her blood has increased significantly, and according to doctors, there is a possibility of serious damage to the prisoner’s heart and lungs.”

This political prisoner was returned to Evin Prison on September 9 of this year, despite his incomplete treatment and only one day after being sent to the hospital.

It should be noted that the cypress poison on August 29 and September 5, Despite having made a prior appointment, he was denied access to the hospital due to excuses made by prison officials.

A source familiar with the prisoner’s illness had previously told HRANA: “Zohreh had contracted the coronavirus in Evin Prison some time ago; the prison medical staff mistakenly diagnosed her illness as a cold and she was denied treatment for her illness for a long time. After a long time, she was transferred to Shahdari Tajrish Hospital, and after tests, it was determined that the infection caused by the coronavirus remained in her body due to lack of timely treatment. Ultimately, her treatment was prescribed with a few antibiotic pills, but the delay in treatment led to her not fully recovering. The family of this prisoner, who was denied the third dose of the coronavirus vaccine due to the persistence of her illness, are concerned about the infection spreading to Ms. Sarvo’s heart and lungs.”

Ms. Sarvo was arrested by security forces in early October of last year and transferred to the IRGC Intelligence Detention Center, known as Ward A-1. She was transferred to the women's ward of Evin Prison in mid-November after the interrogation process was completed.

Ms. Sarvo was ultimately sentenced to 7 years in prison by Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Iman Afshari, on charges of “gathering and colluding to propagate against the regime.” Under Article 134 of the Islamic Penal Code, she could face 6 years in prison.

This political prisoner has a history of previous arrests and convictions. On April 6, 1402, while serving his previous 3-year sentence in Qarchak Prison in Varamin, he was sent on leave and in June of the same year, after going to the Evin Courthouse's Sentence Execution Unit, he was informed of his early release.

Zohreh Sarvo, the daughter of Gheizan, was born in 1986. Ms. Sarvo was active in cyberspace under the name "Mahfar".
