Shahroud; Father commits suicide after murdering his 12-year-old daughter

The police commander of Shahrood city in Semnan province announced the suicide of a man after murdering his 12-year-old daughter. In this incident, the man in question first murdered his daughter on the bed in her room for unknown reasons and then hanged himself and committed suicide.

According to HRANA news agency, citing Rokna, a 12-year-old girl named Ariana was murdered by her 35-year-old father in Shahroud.

The Shahroud County Police Commander said: At 12:13 p.m. yesterday, a public call to 110 was made regarding a police emergency on 22 Bahman Street in Shahroud. After the police arrived at the scene and conducted initial investigations, a woman approached the officers and stated that she had left home about two hours ago to go shopping and that after her husband and daughter returned, they were not answering their phones or iPhones.

Ali Karimi stated that the woman's husband's private car was also parked in a way that prevented the door from being opened, adding: "This increased the officers' suspicions, and after making the necessary arrangements, firefighters and police officers entered the house."

The law enforcement official stated: "After entering the house, officers encountered the body of a 12-year-old girl on the bed and a man who had been hanged. Based on the evidence at the scene and detailed investigations, as well as the handwriting of Ariana's father, the hypothesis that the girl was murdered by her father was confirmed."

He continued: "Ariana's father, who was 35 years old, first murdered his daughter on the bed in her room and then hanged himself and committed suicide."

Regarding the cause and motive of this horrific crime, the Shahrood County Police Commander also said: "This family has been coming to Shahrood from Tehran for several months, and according to initial investigations and a review of Ariana's father's background, there is no history of addiction or mental problems, and commenting on this issue requires further investigation."
