IMF: Inflation rate in Iran to increase by 2.5% this year

The new International Monetary Fund report on global economic growth, which was recently published, says that the current inflation rate in Iran, which is around 36.5 percent, will reach 39 percent by the end of the year. According to the table published in the report, Iran's inflation was about 36.5 percent in 2020 and will reach 39 percent in 2021. The institution's assessment for 2022 is that the inflation rate is 27.5 percent.

Iran has witnessed high inflation in the last decade.

The International Monetary Fund report also referred to the unemployment rate in Iran, stating that the unemployment rate, which was 10.8 percent last year, will reach 11.2 percent this year and 11.7 percent next year.
