Taliban bans men and women from parks

The Taliban's Ministry of Encouraging Good and Forbidding Evil has banned the simultaneous presence of men and women in Kabul's amusement parks. The Taliban have warned that any violation of this decision will be dealt with legally and no one has the right to complain.
The Taliban Ministry of Encouraging Good and Forbidding Evil announced in a statement on Saturday, March 26, that women, while "wearing the Islamic hijab," can go to parks on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays, and that men and Taliban members are not allowed to be in these places on these days.
Also, men can go to parks on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and on these days, male Taliban members can attend Kabul's amusement parks without weapons or military insignia.
The announcement warns park officials and owners that violating the above will result in "legal action" and "no one will have the right to complain."
The group did not provide an explanation for the “legal action” referred to in its statement.
The Taliban have also emphasized that in family entertainment venues, "women must observe the Islamic veil and refrain from mixing with strangers."
Taliban continue to impose restrictions on women
After coming to power, the Taliban group has imposed numerous pressures and restrictions on Afghan women.
For example, the Taliban government's Ministry of Education announced on the day of the reopening of girls' high schools that all girls' secondary schools would be closed until further notice.
Thousands of female students in Afghanistan were supposed to return to school on the third day of Farvardin.
The Taliban's decision was met with widespread global protests, with UNESCO's director-general, for example, describing it as a "major setback" in a tweet.
