Massive cancellation of flights to Ben Gurion Airport and suspension of Singaporean and Taiwanese planes from passing through Iranian airspace

The New York Times reported the cancellation of flights to Ben Gurion Airport and the suspension of Singaporean and Taiwanese planes from passing through Iranian airspace.

According to reports published by the New York Times, Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian, Air India and two American airlines Delta and United have canceled all their flights to Tel Aviv. Italian airline ITA Airways has also canceled all flights to Tel Aviv until August 6.

Reuters also reported, based on data from FlightRadar24, that two Taiwanese airlines have stopped using Iranian airspace. Taiwan's largest airline, China Airlines, and Ava Air also stopped using Iranian airspace for flights to Amsterdam, contrary to previous practice.

The assassination of Ismail Haniyeh on Wednesday and the lack of security in Iran, as well as the possibility of a retaliatory war by Iran, have created a situation of insecurity, to the point that some airlines have banned the use of Iranian airspace until further notice and canceled flights.
