Argument instead of debate: Trump and Biden's first televised debate

The first televised duel between the two main candidates for the US presidential election took place. A debate that failed to meet anyone's expectations. The result of the debate: an exchange of accusations and insults instead of an expert discussion and an incompetent moderator.
The first of four televised debates between the two US presidential candidates took place in Ohio on Tuesday evening, September 29, local time (2:00 a.m. CET on September 30). Commentators and analysts agreed on one thing about this televised duel: the low level of the two electoral rivals' arguments.
The first 90-minute debate between Democratic nominee Joe Biden and Republican nominee Donald Trump took place in Cleveland, Ohio, less than five weeks before the US presidential election.
Donald Trump and Joe Biden refused to shake hands at the start of the debate. It was said that the reason for this behavior was related to the spread of the coronavirus. Few people attended the meeting. Among them, Trump's wife Melania watched the debate from inside the hall.
The televised debates before the US presidential election are considered a turning point in the election campaign. The purpose of these debates is to attract the undecided votes of the American people. In other words, the two candidates try to win over the votes of the undecided people to their advantage.
The first assessment of last night's debate in the US state of Ohio was this: Those who are hesitant about participating in the elections and voting can continue to view participation in the elections with skepticism.
Six topics were selected for the debate. They were to discuss health insurance reform, the Supreme Court, the coronavirus crisis, the economic plan, as well as racism and police brutality.
From the very first moment of the debate, it became clear that neither of the two candidates in the upcoming election had any desire to stay on the chosen issues.
Fox News anchor Chris Wallace was moderating the debate. In the very first minutes of the debate, Wallace lost control of the session and was unable to bring order and calm to the conversation and discussions between the two presidential candidates until the end of the debate.
Wallace's inability to conduct the meeting was met with harsh criticism from the American media, including the news broadcaster CNN.
Insults and slander instead of expert discussion
Before the first round of debates between Biden and Trump, public expectations for the televised duel were low. However, the outcome was worse than initially expected.
Joe Biden accused Trump of lying from the beginning, saying that the American people know that their president is a liar.
Biden continued the debate by calling Donald Trump a “clown” and claiming that he doesn’t know enough about anything. The Democratic nominee even called Trump a puppet and plaything of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Trump, in turn, called Biden an incompetent person, referred to his son's drug addiction, called him a socialist, and accused him of ignorance.
At some points in the debate, it was impossible to follow the discussions. All three people (the moderator, Biden, and Trump) were speaking loudly at the same time, and everyone was saying something. Trump was talking to Chris Wallace, and Biden was talking to the crowd while looking into the camera.
Debate topics
Obamacare: Trump claimed that Joe Biden and the Democratic Party are trying to implement socialist laws in America. Biden called Trump “the worst president in America.”
The Democratic candidate criticized Amy Barrett's nomination to the US Supreme Court a month before the election, saying that such a move was made, among other things, to overhaul health insurance.
Trump defended his policy, saying that the US president has the right to nominate someone to the Supreme Court in such circumstances.
Coronavirus crisis: Biden criticized Trump's performance in dealing with the coronavirus outbreak, saying that the US president was aware of the deadly dangers of the virus and yet failed to do anything to combat it. Biden said that Trump has not only downplayed the extent of the dangers of Covid-19 but has also recommended people to use the wrong medicines.
Trump also said that Biden and the Democratic Party were trying to shut down the economy. He claimed that if Biden had been in charge, the death toll would have reached two million.
Economic boom: Regarding economic boom, Joe Biden said that Donald Trump took over a strong and organized economy from Barack Obama and has not done anything significant since then.
Trump also claimed that Biden was planning to shut down the American economy and that his policies would harm the American economy.
Trump has talked about the economic boom in the United States during his term. Both presidential candidates promised to create millions of new jobs.
Racism and police brutality: Biden accused Trump of inciting the unrest and called him a “racist.” Trump also claimed that Biden had called black people “predators” in the past. Trump also claimed that the responsibility for the street violence lies with the far-left forces in America.
Accepting the election results: Biden announced that he would accept the results if he lost the election. Trump once again spoke of election fraud, claiming that the announcement of the final results could take months and could not be trusted.
