Christian citizen Narges Nasri sentenced to 16 years in prison and other punishments

Christian citizen Narges Nasri was sentenced to 16 years in prison and other punishments by the Revolutionary Court.
Narges Nasri, along with two other Christian citizens, were arrested on November 1 by agents of the Ministry of Intelligence for establishing a house church in Tehran and transferred to the Ministry of Intelligence detention center known as Ward 209 of Evin Prison. According to HRANA, she was released from Evin Prison on December 1, a month after her arrest, after posting a bail of two billion and five hundred million Tomans. Ms. Nasri, along with two other Christian citizens, were interrogated throughout their detention.
Yesterday, March 9, the verdict issued by Judge Iman Afshari, head of Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, against Narges Nasri was communicated to her. The verdict issued against Ms. Nasri for the charges of “propaganda activity contrary to Islamic law in terms of connection with abroad in an effective manner and the depth of extensive criminal acts (with one degree increase) is to endure 10 years of penal imprisonment, 15 years of social ban, payment of a fine of 330 million Tomans and membership in opposition groups in the country to 5 years in prison, and for propaganda activity against the system to one year in prison.”
She was in her first month of pregnancy when she was arrested in November, and now, who is in her fourth month of pregnancy, has been sentenced to two years in additional punishments, including a ban on leaving the country, a ban on residing in Tehran province and neighboring provinces, and a ban on membership in social groups and organizations.
According to HRANA, citing an informed source close to Narges Nasri's family, she was sentenced to one year in prison on charges of propaganda against the regime, due to her activity in cyberspace, which resulted in the publication of critical material about the situation in the country.
