Permanent ban on entry of senior IRGC members to Canada

Following numerous crimes committed by the Islamic Republic government in recent years, the views of parliament representatives from all countries toward the Islamic Republic government have changed.

In December 2019, we witnessed the downing of Ukrainian passenger flight 752 by terrorist missiles from the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and the killing of several Canadian citizens, as well as the widespread suppression of protests in Iran by the Islamic Republic regime. For this reason, Canadian parliament representatives, during a session, pressured Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to place the IRGC on the blacklist of terrorist groups, but Justin Trudeau has not yet agreed to this demand.

However, these crimes have continued to this day, to the extent that we have witnessed the murder of Mahsa Amini and other girls and boys and the shooting up of Zahedan and other crimes by the Islamic Republic government. Events that shook the entire world and led parliament representatives in various countries to oppose this regime, with Canada being one of them.

Following pressure from groups defending the rights of Iranians and also the downing of the Ukrainian passenger plane, led by Dr. Hamad Esmailiyon, after several days of discussion and meetings among Canadian parliament representatives, Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of the Canadian federal government, formally introduced the IRGC as a terrorist organization and placed 10,000 senior personnel of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps on the entry ban list for Canada. These individuals will permanently not be allowed entry to Canada and will not have access to financial transactions. Additionally, measures are under review for revoking the residence status and citizenship of the families and relatives of Islamic Republic officials in Canada and deporting them and their families.
