Mahsa Amini died in hospital three days after being arrested by the Ershad patrol.

Radio Farda learned on Friday afternoon, September 15, that Mahsa Amini had died in the hospital, three days after being arrested by the Ershad patrol and beaten in the ministry.

Shortly before the news of Mahsa's death broke, Mojgan Amini, Mahsa's mother, said in an interview with Radio Farda that doctors were performing dialysis on her daughter.

Ms. Amini added that her daughter's condition had not changed since she was hospitalized on Tuesday night. In an interview with Radio Farda, she prayed for Mahsa's health and that her rights be restored.

Mahsa Amini, 22, who had traveled to Tehran from Saqqez with her family to visit relatives, was arrested by Ershad Patrol officers.

Eyewitness reports and social media users indicate that he was beaten and injured in the Ershad patrol car and in the detention center.

Mahsa Amini's body arrived at Kasra Hospital by ambulance two hours after she was transferred to Vazra Detention Center in Tehran.

Although reports indicated that he was brain dead due to the beating, the police force did not mention the beating in the statement it issued, only announcing that he had a "sudden" heart condition while he was taking orientation classes at the Moral Security Police.

This is despite the fact that at least two doctors said on social media on Thursday that, given the injuries to Mahsa Amini's face in the hospital and the bleeding from her ear, the reason for her hospitalization was not a heart problem at all.

According to her mother, Mahsa Amini was "completely healthy and well" before her arrest.

Ms. Amini's uncle had previously said in an interview with Etemad Online that "there is no longer any hope for Mahsa's survival."

He continued by criticizing the way the country dealt with the issue of compulsory hijab, adding: "We have not been apologized to at all."

The news of Mahsa Amini's brain death over the forced hijab has shocked the Persian-speaking cyberspace and sparked a wave of anger.
