Narges Mohammadi was transferred from prison to the hospital due to severe bleeding.

According to the website of the Center for Human Rights Defenders, Narges Mohammadi was transferred from prison to the hospital following severe uterine bleeding.
According to this website, Ms. Mohammadi was taken to the hospital on Sunday, June 27, after her bleeding did not stop.
Narges Mohammadi suffers from two diseases: pulmonary embolism and muscular paralysis. Doctors believe that continuing to serve her sentence despite these two diseases could endanger her life.
Human rights activist Narges Mohammadi was sentenced to five years in prison in May last year on charges of "gathering and colluding with the intention of committing a crime against the country's national security," one year in prison on charges of "propaganda activity against the system," and ten years in prison on charges of "forming and managing the illegal Legam group."
The judiciary announced that 10 years of this sentence will be enforced.
The issuance of this ruling and its confirmation by the Court of Appeals drew strong criticism from human rights activists and a number of members of parliament.
These representatives wrote letters to judicial authorities twice to investigate the violation of this ruling and to re-examine Ms. Mohammadi's case.
The second letter from the representatives stated that the sentence was disproportionate to the charges, adding: "It seems that the sentence issued is more intended to intimidate other socio-political activists, and of course, this purpose is usually not achieved."
However, the judicial system refused to re-examine Narges Mohammadi's case.
