Trump's unprecedented warning to Tehran and direct message to the people after launching a massive operation against Iran

An hour after the start of the massive Israeli and American operation against Iran, Donald Trump sent a direct message to Tehran and the Iranian people with an unprecedented warning.

This morning, the United States entered a new phase of direct confrontation with the Islamic Republic; a phase that American officials describe as a "major combat operation" and whose goal is to immediately contain what they call an "imminent threat" from Tehran.

The United States has announced that the operation is aimed at preventing the Islamic Republic from acquiring nuclear weapons and weakening its missile and military infrastructure. At the same time, military sources report extensive naval and air movements in the region, from the deployment of aircraft carriers in the Persian Gulf to the readiness of US bases in the Middle East.

This action comes in the wake of rising tensions between Washington and Tehran, after the US previously targeted nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan in an operation called "Midnight Hammer."

In this regard, US President Donald Trump took unprecedented and explicit positions against the Islamic Republic in a televised speech. The full text of his remarks is as follows:

“Just hours ago, the United States military began a major combat operation in Iran. Our goal is to defend the American people by eliminating the imminent threat posed by the Iranian regime, a vicious and terrifying group of individuals. This regime’s threatening activities directly endanger the United States, our forces, our bases abroad, and our allies around the world. For 47 years, the Iranian regime has chanted “Death to America” and waged an endless campaign of bloodshed and mass murder against the United States, our forces, and innocent people in many countries. Among the regime’s first actions was to support the violent takeover of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran and hold dozens of Americans hostage for 444 days.

In 1983, Iranian proxies carried out a bombing of a Marine Corps base in Beirut that killed 241 American military personnel. In 2000, they knew about and were likely involved in the attack on the USS Cole; many were killed. Iranian forces killed and wounded hundreds of American service members in Iraq. The regime’s proxies have continued their countless attacks in recent years against American forces stationed in the Middle East, as well as against U.S. naval and merchant ships in international shipping lanes. This is mass terror, and we will not tolerate it any longer. From Lebanon to Yemen and from Syria to Iraq, the regime has armed, trained, and financed terrorist militias that have stained the land with blood and violence.

It was also this Iranian proxy group, Hamas, that launched the monstrous attacks on Israel on October 7, massacring over 1,000 innocent people, including 46 Americans, and taking 12 of our citizens hostage. That attack was brutal, the likes of which the world had never seen before. Iran is the world’s number one state sponsor of terrorism, and recently murdered tens of thousands of its own citizens protesting in the streets. It has always been the policy of the United States, and particularly my administration, that this terrorist regime should never obtain nuclear weapons. I repeat: They can never have nuclear weapons.

That is why last June, in Operation Midnight Hammer, we destroyed the regime’s nuclear program at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. After that attack, we warned them never to resume their evil pursuit of nuclear weapons, and we tried many times to reach an agreement. We tried; sometimes they wanted to agree and sometimes they didn’t, they wanted to and then they gave up, they had no idea what was happening. They just wanted to practice evil; but Iran refused, just as it had done for decades and decades. They rejected every opportunity to give up their nuclear ambitions, and we can no longer tolerate that.

Instead, they have attempted to rebuild their nuclear program and continue to develop long-range missiles that can now threaten our very good friends and allies in Europe, our forces stationed abroad, and could soon reach American soil. Just imagine how much bolder this regime would be in getting its message across if it were armed with nuclear weapons. For these reasons, the United States military is conducting a large and ongoing operation to deter this highly malignant and radical dictatorship from threatening America and our vital national security interests.

We will destroy their missiles and destroy their missile industry; it will once again be completely wiped out. We will destroy their navy. We will ensure that terrorist proxy groups can no longer destabilize the region or the world, attack our forces, and use roadside bombs (IEDs) to severely injure and kill thousands upon thousands of people, including many Americans. We will ensure that Iran does not obtain a nuclear weapon. This is a very simple message: They will never have a nuclear weapon.

This regime will soon learn that no one should challenge the power and capability of the United States armed forces. In my first administration, I built and rebuilt our military, and no military on earth comes close to its strength, robustness, or sophistication. My administration has taken every step possible to minimize the risk to American personnel in the region. However, I do not say this lightly, the Iranian regime is out to kill. The lives of brave American heroes may be at stake, and we may suffer casualties. This is something that often happens in war, but we are doing this not for now, but for the future, and this is a noble mission.

We pray for every member of the military who selflessly puts their lives on the line to ensure that Americans and our children will never be threatened by a nuclear-armed Iran. We ask God to protect all of our heroes in danger, and we believe that with His help, the men and women of the armed forces will prevail. We have the best in the world, and they will prevail. To the members of the Revolutionary Guard, the armed forces, and all law enforcement, I say tonight that you must lay down your weapons and be treated with complete immunity, or you will face certain death. So lay down your weapons; you will be treated fairly and with complete immunity, or you will face certain death.

Finally, to the great and proud people of Iran, I say tonight that your hour of freedom is near. Stay in your shelters and do not leave your homes. It is too dangerous outside; bombs will fall everywhere. When we are done, take over your government; it will be yours. This will probably be your only chance for many generations. For many years you have asked for America's help but you have never received it. No president has ever done what I am doing tonight. Now you have a president who will give you what you want, so let us see how you respond. America supports you with crushing power and destructive force. Now is the time to take control of your destiny and begin the glorious and prosperous future that is within your reach. This is the moment to act; do not let it pass.

These words, which had a blunt and threatening tone, indicate that Washington has decided to enter a phase of direct and open confrontation. In contrast, Tehran has not yet announced its official and complete response, but sources close to military institutions report widespread readiness at missile and naval bases.

Experts believe that if the scope of the operation expands, there is a possibility that other regional players will be drawn into the conflict. Global oil and energy markets have also been severely affected by these developments, and prices have taken an upward trend.

What is certain is that the region has entered an unprecedented phase of confrontation; one that could change the balance of power in the Middle East for years to come.
