Three Christians summoned to serve prison sentence

Amin Khaki, Milad Goodarzi, and Alireza Noormohammadi Masihi were summoned by a notice to execute their prison sentences. According to this notice, they are asked to present themselves to the Karaj Prosecutor's Office on Wednesday, November 10, to execute the sentences. These citizens were previously sentenced to three years in prison by Branch 12 of the Alborz Provincial Court of Appeal.
According to HRANA News Agency, citing Article 18, Amin Khaki, Milad Goodarzi, and Alireza Noormohammadi Masihi were summoned through a notification to execute their prison sentences.
According to this notification, these citizens have been asked to present themselves to the Karaj Prosecutor's Office for execution of the rulings by Wednesday, November 19.
These Christian citizens were each released on bail of 250 million Tomans in November 2020 after being summoned to judicial authorities and a case was filed.
On July 25 of this year, Amin Khaki, Milad Goodarzi, and Alireza Noormohammadi were each sentenced to five years in prison and a fine of 40 million tomans by the Fourth Branch of the Karaj Revolutionary Court on charges of "deviant propaganda and educational activities contrary to the holy law of Islam."
These citizens were ultimately sentenced to three years in prison each by Branch 12 of the Alborz Provincial Court of Appeal.
It is worth noting that despite the fact that Christians are recognized as a religious minority by law, the security services follow the issue of Muslims converting to Christianity with particular sensitivity and deal with activists in this field with force.
The treatment of Christians in Iran is taking place while, according to Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Article 18 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, everyone has the right to freedom of religion and to change their religion with conviction, as well as the freedom to express it, individually or in community with others and in public or in private.
