Political activist Mohammad Mohajeri reacted to Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf's complaint against Eshaq Jahangiri after 6 years.

In a strange move, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf filed a complaint against Eshaq Jahangiri in March of last year (1401 AH) regarding his remarks during the 2017 election debate, and his complaint is scheduled to be heard in the coming days. There is no information available on why Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf filed a complaint against Eshaq Jahangiri after 6 years.

Regarding this complaint, Mohammad Mohajeri, a political activist and fundamentalist, published a text on his Telegram channel. Mohajeri wrote: “Hello, Mr. Qalibaf. I saw news that you recently remembered to sue Mr. Eshaq Jahangiri for his statements 6 years ago in an election debate.

I felt that you would not mind traveling to the past. For this reason, and in order to prove to your opponents that the passage of time not only does not eliminate the need for transparency, but that you also believe in this issue wholeheartedly and practically, I invite you to a conversation with questions about the "Yas Project," which both you and I know what happened. Also, the story of the astronomical real estate of the Tehran Municipality and the administration of Tehran at a very high cost, and the case of your deputy, Mr. Sharifi.

"This interview may certainly irritate and challenge you with its questions, but it will in any case benefit your political credibility. If your complaint against Mr. Jahangiri is conducted behind closed doors in court and results in a verdict by a judge, millions of judges will be rating your performance in the interview and assessing your success in the transparency test. I look forward to your response."

It should be noted that the "Yas Holding" project was one of the largest corruption cases in the municipality, with reports showing that thousands of billions of the rights of Tehran citizens were violated in these contracts. Also, although the initial investigator of this case had confirmed all the results of the investigation reports, the investigator was changed and then, with the consent of the municipality, a ban on prosecution was issued. Now, the "Yas Holding" case is being buried in the archives.

This case was sent to the archive after 15 months, even though Ali Khamenei has used the phrase "open wounds" regarding corruption cases that must be determined. The Yas Holding case is also one of these open wounds, and the municipality must explain this issue to the citizens of Tehran.
