White House reaction to Khamenei website animation: We have witnessed insulting behavior from the Leader of the Islamic Republic before

The White House spokesman said at a press conference on Thursday, January 13, in response to a question about Ali Khamenei's website publishing an animation of an Iranian assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump and whether the US intelligence community was assessing such a potential threat. "We have witnessed the offensive rhetoric and behavior of the Leader of the Islamic Republic before," he said.

The official website of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic, has published an animation showing Iran's assassination operation against former United States President Donald Trump and his attempted assassination.

This short animation shows the hacking and drone attack on Mr. Trump's residence in Florida.

The news of the release of this animation has been covered by a number of major media outlets around the world, including the Associated Press and the Times of Israel newspaper.

Senior Republican Senator Lindsey Graham tweeted earlier on Thursday, "I cannot believe a video produced under the authority of the Ayatollah of Iran openly threatening to kill President Trump has gone unanswered by the Biden administration. This must be corrected immediately."

"The appropriate response, in my view, is to stop all negotiations with the Iranians because of this insolence. If we don't do that, the Iranians and everyone else in the region will see this as a huge sign of our weakness," he added.

Ronnie Jackson, a Republican member of the US House of Representatives, also tweeted about the release of this animation, asking how these people are allowed to be active on social media, but Donald Trump is not?

Jim Banks, another Republican congressman, previously criticized President Biden's administration for continuing to negotiate with Iran in a message on Twitter and called on him to immediately stop negotiations with the Islamic Republic.
