Israeli minister accused of spying for Iran sentenced to 11 years in prison

Gonen Segev, a former member of the Israeli cabinet, has been sentenced to eleven years in prison on charges of espionage and transmitting information to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Jerusalem Post wrote that the verdict was issued after Segou's lawyer reached an agreement with the prosecutor.

The former Israeli energy minister has been accused of passing various information, including about Israel's energy sector, to Iran.
