Astronomical salaries continue to be paid in the government; the Iranian Broadcasting Corporation and the Judiciary do not announce the salaries of their managers

While some news sites report the continued payment of high salaries in government departments, the head of the Administrative and Employment Organization announced that the Iranian Broadcasting Corporation and the Judiciary have not announced the salaries of their managers.
In an interview with Iran Newspaper published on Sunday, July 29, Jamshid Ansari, in response to the question of why Article 29 of the Sixth Plan Law, which established a system for managers' salaries and benefits, has not been implemented after 15 months, said that some institutions, including the judiciary and the Iranian Broadcasting Corporation, have not uploaded information on the salaries and benefits of their managers into this system.
The requirement to declare the salaries and benefits of managers came after three years ago, when the disclosure of hundreds of millions of tomans in salaries of several government managers made headlines, prompting a reaction from the Leader of the Islamic Republic, an apology from the head of the Management and Planning Organization, and an explanation from Hassan Rouhani.
The government immediately responded to critics by announcing that the astronomical salaries were not only paid by the government but also by other agencies.
Now, at the same time as the announcement that the Iranian Broadcasting Corporation and the Judiciary have not yet uploaded the salary information of their managers to the relevant system, some news sites reported that the salary and benefits of Vali Azarosh, the CEO of Atiyeh Saba Investment Company, affiliated with the National Pension and Social Security Fund, who was recently dismissed, were about 60 million tomans per month as of May this year, and the salary of Ali Mohammad Alikhanzadeh, a member of the company's board of directors, was more than 44 million tomans. This is despite the fact that the maximum salary for managers is set at 20 million tomans.
The Social Security Organization has not yet responded to these reports.
In October 2016, three months after the disclosure of high salaries of government managers, the head of the Court of Accounts of Iran announced in a report to the Islamic Consultative Assembly that about 400 managers were receiving salaries exceeding 20 million tomans per month.
