Four Christian converts sent to Ahvaz prison

HRANA News Agency – Pastor Amin Khaki, Hossein Baronzadeh (Daniel), Mohammad Bahrami, and Rahman (Zia), Christian converts from Ahvaz who were previously arrested in 2014, were brought to Ahvaz Central Prison to serve their one-year prison sentence.

According to HRANA, the news agency of the Human Rights Activists in Iran, Pastor Amin Khaki, Hossein Baronzadeh (Daniel), Mohammad Bahrami, and Rahman (Zia), Christian converts from Ahvaz, were transferred to Karun Prison, Ward 8 (Security) of Ahvaz, after being arrested by security agents on Wednesday, May 7, 2014.

These citizens were released from prison on January 3, 2014, after posting bail, and in June 2015, they were sentenced to one year in prison in the first instance of the Ahvaz Revolutionary Court, Branch 2. This sentence was confirmed on March 12 of the same year by the Ahvaz Court of Appeal, Branch 16.

This verdict was announced on May 10 of this year, giving them one month to appear before the Revolutionary Court to serve their prison sentence.

Including the nine months of temporary detention, four Christian converts reported themselves to Ahvaz Central Prison about two weeks ago to serve the remaining three months of their one-year Ta'ziri sentence.
