Haft Tappeh sugarcane workers gather and strike

Haft Tappeh sugarcane workers went on strike on Tuesday and gathered in front of the company's management office.
According to the independent Haft Tappeh Workers Channel, the first demand of the striking Haft Tappeh workers is to immediately determine the company's management's responsibilities and clarify the method and price of its transfer.
The announcement of the verdict against Omid Asadbeigi and Mehrdad Rostamichegini in the $1.5 billion abuse case is another demand of Haft Tappeh sugarcane workers.
In the winter of 2015, Omid Asadbeigi and Mehrdad Rostamichegini purchased the Haft Tappeh Sugarcane Company, which covers an area of 24,000 hectares, with an advance payment of six billion tomans.
The trial of the two, along with 10 others, began after the disclosure of the $1.5 billion abuse case, but was halted last year.
