Campaign to Defend the Rights of Haft Tappeh Detainees: Sepideh Qolyan Arrested Again

The Campaign to Defend Haft Tappeh Detainees and Progressive Prisoners has announced on its Telegram channel the re-arrest of Sepideh Gholian, a civil rights activist and labor rights activist.

The campaign says Ms. Qolyan was arrested at her father's house on Sunday night.

Over the past few hours, images of Sepideh Qolyan holding a slogan against the high price of gasoline have been circulating online.

The slogan reads: "You raised the price of gasoline by 300 percent, and you also increased wages?!"

Ms. Qolyan was arrested in November 2018 while supporting the Haft Tappeh sugarcane workers, along with labor activist Esmaeil Bakhshi and a number of Haft Tappeh company workers.

He was temporarily released in early November along with a number of other detainees on bail of one and a half billion tomans.
