A report on the latest status of Isfahan Black Friday detainees

The crackdown on protest gatherings by Isfahan farmers and citizens supporting their demands resulted in the arrest of at least 214 citizens. Despite the fact that 10 days have passed since the arrests of the Isfahan protesters, an unknown number remain in detention. There is also no information on the status of women and children arrested during the protests.
According to HRANA News Agency, the news agency of the Human Rights Activists in Iran, today, Monday, December 5, 2021, an unknown number of protesters are still in detention, despite the fact that 10 days have passed since the arrest of Isfahan protesters.
The suppression of protest gatherings by Isfahan farmers and citizens supporting their demands led to the arrest of at least 214 citizens. In addition, some of the attendees of the protest gatherings, residents of Khorasgan village and Isfahan city, such as Hormoz Basri, a resident of a village in eastern Isfahan, were later summoned and arrested by security agencies, and a number of others were released after their mobile phones were confiscated. There is no information about the status of women and children arrested during the protests.
It is said that a number of people had officially pledged not to leave their homes last Friday.
This comes while yesterday, Asadollah Jafari, the Chief Justice of Isfahan Province, announced the issuance of a temporary release order for several of those arrested during the recent protests in Isfahan. He also added: "A case has been filed for the arrested people, and as we promised the people, we have established special branches to handle these cases in the provincial capital's prosecutor's office."
Protest rallies by Isfahan farmers and citizens supporting their demands began on Sunday, November 6, and turned violent on Friday, December 25, with the widespread presence of law enforcement and security forces to end the rally. HRANA previously reported in a comprehensive report that law enforcement and security forces entered the area, beat and shot protesters, arrested at least 214 people, including 13 children, and injured a number of citizens with gunfire from law enforcement and security forces.
