A Khuzestan citizen named Khalaf Marvani was arrested in protest against the lack of relief for flood victims in his village and the prevention of the breach of the dam.

According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, on Thursday, April 5, Khalaf Marvani, an Arab citizen from the village of Marwaneh in the central part of Ahvaz, was arrested by security agencies in Ahvaz and transferred to an unknown location.

A knowledgeable source told the campaign: “Sheikh Khalaf Marwani, the elder of the Maravaneh tribe in Ahvaz, was arrested in protest against the breach of the dam on his agricultural lands and the opening of the dam towards the Dehkhoda Sugar Company.”
