Israel: Hezbollah Committed ‘Clear Violation of Ceasefire’ with Drone Attack

Israel reported a clear violation of the ceasefire by Hezbollah, the proxy force of the Islamic Republic, with drone fire from Lebanese territory towards Israel.
Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Thursday, June 21, posted a message on social media platform X stating: “Hezbollah yesterday evening and also Thursday morning, June 21, clearly violated the ceasefire by launching drones from Lebanon towards Israel.”
The message stated: “Hezbollah does not serve Lebanon. It serves the interests of Iran’s terrorist regime, while the people of Lebanon and Iran pay the price.”
This comes as tensions at the border have escalated, with various areas in southern and eastern Lebanon coming under Israeli artillery and aerial bombardment, while simultaneously warning sirens sounded in northern Israel following the detection of a suspicious drone.
Lebanese media reported that Thursday morning Beirut time, Israeli artillery targeted Bourj Qalaouiyeh in Bint Jbeil district, Tolin in Marjeyoun, and Sarifah in Tyre region.
Israeli media also reported the activation of warning sirens in northern Israel. These sirens sounded following the detection of a suspicious drone linked to Hezbollah in the Mas’ada area, although the Israeli army stated that this target did not enter Israeli airspace.
Despite announcements that the incident ended without casualties or damage, this series of events indicates that tensions on the Lebanon-Israel border remain at high levels, and there is a possibility of escalation of clashes in various areas of Lebanon.
