Several Protesters Arrested in Connection with 1404 Protests

Hrana News Agency – Official media outlets reported the arrest of a citizen in Robat Karim and several protesters in Dehdasht in connection with December protests. Simultaneously, a video of forced confessions of five individuals has been released, though the conditions under which it was recorded remain unclear.
According to Hrana News Agency citing Fars, several protesters in connection with December protests were arrested in Dehdasht.
The Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Sepah Intelligence Organization claimed that these individuals were members of an armed team. At the same time, a video of forced confessions of five individuals has been released, though it remains unclear under what conditions it was recorded.
On the other hand, IRIB News Agency reported the arrest of a protester by law enforcement officers in Robat Karim County. The police commander of Robat Karim claimed that this citizen was one of the main leaders of the protests in the county.
According to Timour Kalantari, the accused was referred to the judicial authority with the creation of a file to proceed with legal proceedings.
These reports made no reference to the identity or detention location of the arrested citizens.
It should be noted that gatherings and strikes by merchants and bazaar traders began on Sunday, December 7 in Tehran and after two days, the scope expanded beyond bazaars and commercial centers. These protests, with the participation of students, citizens, and various social groups, became one of the most widespread protests in recent years.
