Humanitarian Assistance from ‘Samaritan’s Purse’ Charity Organization to Gaza

The Christian charity organization ‘Samaritan’s Purse’, with a focus on all those in need in Gaza, is expanding its relief activities.

The Christian charity organization Samaritan’s Purse announced that it will expand its humanitarian assistance in Gaza, and this aid will include all people in need, regardless of their religion and faith. This decision has been made at a time when the situation in Gaza is in very difficult circumstances due to humanitarian and political crises.

Franklin Graham, a renowned pastor and CEO of Samaritan’s Purse, said in an interview with Premier Christian News: “Our love for all the people of Gaza, whether Muslim or Christian, will be there. We will help all of them in a world that sometimes seems a little discouraging.” He also emphasized that the only way to create hope and the possibility of reconstruction in Gaza is the emergence of new leadership: “The only hope for this region is the arrival of new leadership.”

Previously, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), led by ‘Johnny Moore’, was responsible for distributing aid in the region. However, following reports of civilian casualties during aid distribution, the foundation suspended its activities. In response to this issue, Samaritan’s Purse announced that it will continue humanitarian activities independently from this foundation and with private budgets.

Franklin Graham, referring to Gaza’s critical situation, stated: “Rebuilding this region is possible, but it requires a change in leadership and the elimination of Hamas.” He described Hamas as a “very bad” group that has held the people of Gaza hostage for 18 years.

Contrary to Samaritan’s Purse’s usual practice of cooperation with local churches, this organization will limit its relief activities to the Holy Family Church, the only active Christian place of worship in Gaza. This measure demonstrates the organization’s special focus on providing direct assistance to people, without interference or dependence on local institutions.

Samaritan’s Purse, emphasizing Christian ethics and global humanitarian services, seeks to deliver its hope and assistance to all people in Gaza, regardless of religion or belief, and to have a direct impact on improving humanitarian conditions in the region.
