Prince Reza Pahlavi Responds to US Attack on Iran’s Nuclear Sites

Prince Reza Pahlavi described the American attack on Iran’s nuclear sites as a consequence of the catastrophic adventurism of the Islamic Republic regime.

As a result of the United States’ attacks on the important nuclear sites of Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan last night, the mentioned sites were destroyed. Prince Reza Pahlavi, responding to Israel’s attacks and last night’s American strike on Iran, stated that these attacks are the consequence of the pursuit of a catastrophic nuclear weapons program by a regime that has sacrificed the interests of the Iranian people.

Referring to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s position, who has been hidden in a secure shelter since the beginning of attacks on Iran, he wrote: “Khamenei ponders response options from his underground bunker, but the real response should be his resignation so that the Iranian nation can move through this catastrophic period and begin a new chapter of peace, prosperity, and glory. The only real way to achieve peace is to end this regime.”

The Wall Street Journal also reported on the American attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, writing: “The U.S. attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities has triggered a wave of regional diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation of the conflicts.”

Arab officials also reported on the United States’ request for them to relay a message to Iran that the attacks have ended and it is now time to return to the negotiating table.

Abbas Golrouet, head of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, also said after the American attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities: “According to Article 10 of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, the Islamic Republic also has the legal right to withdraw from this treaty. The American attack is a clear violation of international obligations, and Iran can review and exercise legal and international options in response.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic also released a statement describing the American attack on nuclear facilities as a violation of the United Nations Charter and international law and the beginning of a dangerous war against Iran. The statement reads: “The world should not forget that it was the United States that betrayed diplomacy in the middle of a diplomatic process. Tehran has the legitimate right to defend itself with full force and decisively against American military aggression and Israel’s criminal actions.”

In this statement, Tehran also called on the United Nations, the International Atomic Energy Agency, and the Security Council to swiftly address this illegal and criminal act and hold an emergency session to condemn the attack.
