Prince Reza Pahlavi Addresses Christian Community: A Free Iran is the Key to Your Prayer

Prince Reza Pahlavi, in his meeting with representatives of the U.S. Congress, addressed Christians saying: “A free Iran is the key to the fulfillment of your prayer.”

At a time when Iran is experiencing tense moments in the contemporary history of the Middle East and the flames of war between Israel and Iran are intensifying, Prince Reza Pahlavi met with a group of U.S. Congressional representatives. This meeting took place to address recent developments in Iran, the country’s political outlook after the fall of the Islamic Republic, and Iran’s future relations with the world, particularly the United States and Israel.

Prince Pahlavi gave a speech during this meeting about Iran’s current situation. While pointing out that Iran is at a historic and fateful moment, he described it not only as affecting the destiny of the Iranian nation and country, but also stability throughout the entire Middle East region, friendly relations with the West, and shared human values, all of which are affected by the current conditions.

Reza Pahlavi began his speech as follows: “Honorable Members of Congress, Congressional staff, and friends, I thank you for inviting me to speak at this sensitive moment. An important moment not only for the Iranian nation, but for the entire Middle East, the United States, and our shared values. The presence of this gathering is a symbol of the intersection of steadfast faith and political courage. I know that many of you are committed to your Christian values and moral clarity in foreign policy.

I deeply respect this and believe that cooperation between the nations of Iran, Israel, the United States, and the faith communities supporting them is more necessary today than ever before. The Islamic Republic, a regime that has been at war with my people for the past 46 years and has oppressed followers of various religions, including Christians, Jews, Bahá’ís, and Muslims, is in its final stages of collapse.”

Regarding the weakening of Ali Khamenei and the regime’s operatives, Prince Reza added: “Its leader has fled to an underground bunker and uses people as human shields. The regime’s control over the country is collapsing. What is happening now is not merely a political change, but a spiritual and moral transformation. We are witnessing the fall of a regime that had built the foundation of its power on fear, violence, and hatred, while simultaneously seeing the emergence of a nation that seeks peace, dignity, and coexistence.”

He continued regarding the transition period after the Islamic Republic and the agreement to lead this transition: “At this transformative juncture, I have decided to take a step forward; not to gain power, but in response to a historical duty. Millions of Iranians at home and abroad have placed their trust in me to guide this transition. A transition away from chaos, toward national unity, justice, and peace. We are not starting from scratch. I have been working alongside patriots, scholars, and experts for years to prepare for the post-Islamic Republic era. We have a roadmap for a transitional period based on the rule of law and national reconciliation, with the goal of establishing an inclusive, democratic Iran that respects all religions and protects the rights of all citizens. This movement has arisen from light, not darkness. This is a national mission for reconstruction: reconstruction of the country, values, and our place in the world.”

Reza Pahlavi also stated that the coming war is not a war of the Iranian people and that they desire peace with the world: “Let me be clear: the Iranian nation has no enmity with Israel nor with America. This hatred is the creation of a regime that turned religion into a weapon and distorted it to justify terror and oppression. While the Islamic Republic chants ‘Death to America,’ the Iranian people shout: ‘Our real enemy is here; they are lying, it is America.’

Prince Pahlavi, while expressing hope for Iran’s victory, stated: “A free Iran will end this artificial enmity. We will pursue peace and cooperation with Israel. We will be America’s friend again. Our children deserve to grow up in a region where mutual respect replaces old hatreds. This is the ideal I am fighting to achieve.”

He also addressed the Christian community saying: “Speaking to you members of the evangelical Christian community who pray for the peace of Jerusalem, I say: A free Iran is the key to the fulfillment of that prayer. The movement for a free Iran is not merely a political struggle, but a moral battle. We fight not only for our own future, but for values that unite all faithful people: justice, compassion, truth, and every person’s God-given right to live with dignity. That is why your role matters. U.S. leadership and the moral vision of communities like yours can make a real difference. Just as you stood with the people of the Eastern Bloc against communism, I now ask you to stand with the Iranian people.

Standing with us requires no soldiers of yours, requires no taxpayer dollars of yours, and requires no more endless wars in the Middle East. In fact, our goal is to end such wars. Because as long as the Islamic Republic is in power, it will continue its war with Israel and America. The only way to end endless wars is to help end the Islamic Republic. When we do this, Israel and America can finally live in peace.”

Reza Pahlavi continued his message to Christians, saying: “Help us isolate this regime. Help us raise the flag of freedom. Help us prepare the ground for tomorrow; a tomorrow in which a new nation is born, at peace with its neighbors and connected to its spiritual heritage. We have all heard from the Bible: ‘Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.’ I believe the Iranian people are ready to be the peacemakers of our generation; for themselves, for the region, and for the world. You have the opportunity to be part of this journey. I hope you will join me and us. The Islamic Republic is falling, and what will replace it will not be chaos, but hope for a new beginning.”
