Press Conference of Religious and Minority Leaders in Support of Iran

Religious and minority leaders in Tehran held a press conference with the aim of supporting the Islamic Republic and condemning Israel.
According to published reports, religious and minority leaders held a meeting on Monday, June 16, corresponding to June 26 in the Persian calendar, in the building of the Zoroastrian Fire Temple to condemn Israeli attacks against Iran and express solidarity with the Islamic Republic.
“Arakol Kadekyan,” representative of Archbishop Sebouh Sarkissian, Primate of the Armenian Church in Tehran, while referring to the efforts of some media to spread false information about Armenians in Iran, said: “Today we have gathered here to declare our firm support for the leadership and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran and to condemn the aggression of the Zionist regime against our homeland. Iran is not just our birthplace, but a sacred and dear land for us, and whenever Iran suffers, we suffer as well.”
According to Arakol, Iran can overcome these crises and emerge victorious. He added in this regard: “We firmly condemn the attacks of the Zionist regime and raise our prayers to Almighty God for the preservation of Iran and its leadership.”
“Charlie Ashnoueh,” the Assyrian representative in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, also attended this press conference. In his speech at this meeting, he said: “Certainly, the response of the Islamic Republic will be thunderous and logical, and know that the Islamic Republic’s response to the attacks of the usurping regime is legitimate self-defense and in accordance with international regulations. The Iranian people should help bring an end to Israeli aggression with confidence, compassion, and under the leadership of Khamenei.”
“Ninoy Moghaddasnia,” custodian of the Assyrian Evangelical Church in Tehran, while mentioning that churches in Tehran, Urmia, and other cities have held prayer ceremonies, condemned Israeli attacks against Iran and said: “The Holy Book commands us to always be advocates in prayer for the officials and rulers of our country. We have always believed that our dear country will be victorious.”
“Michel Aghamalyan,” religious custodian of the Armenian Evangelical community and church, also condemned Israeli attacks against Iran and added: “We cannot tolerate aggression against the soil of our homeland, a homeland whose every span is filled with epic and legend.” While praying for the peace of the martyrs’ souls, he also prayed for Iran’s victory and said: “If Iran does not exist, let my body not exist.”
