“Israel Katz”: We will ensure that “Naim Qassem” soon follows “Nasrallah’s” path

“Israel Katz” responding to statements by “Naim Qassem” said: We will ensure that he soon follows the path of Nasrallah.
“Naim Qassem” the newly appointed Secretary-General of Lebanese Hezbollah, in his first speech as the group’s new leader, claimed that he would continue the path of Hassan Nasrallah, the former Secretary-General of Lebanese Hezbollah who was killed by Israel, without any compromise.
Naim Qassem during a speech on Wednesday, October 30 (November 9), announced that the paramilitary group fights for Lebanon and does not carry out its struggle on behalf of anyone else. According to his remarks in this speech, the Iranian government supports the Lebanese Hezbollah program without any expectations and has no demands from this group.
His claim comes as Lebanese Hezbollah is the Islamic Republic of Iran’s primary proxy arm, which has received extensive financial and military support from the Iranian government over the past decades. According to published reports, Naim Qassem two weeks ago left Beirut for Damascus by Iranian aircraft along with Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister who had traveled to Lebanon, and from there traveled to Tehran where he is currently residing.
After Hassan Nasrallah was killed by Israel last month, Naim Qassem took over the leadership of this group, and published reports indicate that following the intensification of Israeli attacks against Hezbollah, it prompted him to travel to Iran. If Naim Qassem’s presence in Iran proves accurate according to published reports, this matter could add new dimensions to tensions and confrontation between Israel and the Islamic Republic.
Israel Katz, Israel’s Foreign Minister, in response to Naim Qassem’s speech and claims about following Hassan Nasrallah’s path yesterday, posted a message on the social network X and wrote: “We will make sure that he will soon follow Nasrallah’s path.” It appears that the Israeli Foreign Minister’s remarks are a threat about his being killed just as Hassan Nasrallah was killed in Israel’s attack on his hideout in Beirut.
“Yoav Gallant” Israel’s Defense Minister also responded to Naim Qassem’s appointment as the new Secretary-General of Lebanese Hezbollah, posting a message on the social network X stating: “The term of this successor to Nasrallah is also temporary and will not be long.”
