“Corey Comperatore,” Victim of Assassination Attempt on Donald Trump, Was a Committed Christian

The Governor of Pennsylvania remembered “Corey Comperatore,” the victim of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, as a committed Christian.

During the shooting and assassination attempt on Donald Trump, former U.S. President and presidential candidate for the new term, while he was speaking in Pennsylvania, a 50-year-old firefighter named “Corey Comperatore” who was attending the event was killed. Before his death, he threw himself in front of his wife and daughter to protect them from the gunfire.

“Helen Comperatore,” Corey’s wife, said about this: “Corey is my hero. During this shooting, he just said, get down! That was the last thing he said.” Helen and Corey had fallen in love since high school and gotten married. Helen added about this: “We were on the eve of celebrating our twenty-ninth wedding anniversary and came to support the former president at Trump’s election campaign in Butler, Pennsylvania. My children and I were there as a family too; it was supposed to be a good day with family.”

“Josh Shapiro,” Governor of Pennsylvania, while addressing Corey as a hero, said: “He was the former chief of the regional fire department administration. He was a believing and committed Christian who went to church every Sunday. Corey loved his fellow citizens and was devoted to his family.”

The Governor of Pennsylvania added about his killing: “Corey, who became a victim of this assassination attempt, selflessly dove toward his family members to protect them after hearing the sound of gunfire and was struck by bullets.”

An emergency physician who was present among Trump supporters at this speech attempted to save Corey through resuscitation operations but was unsuccessful. Helen, Corey’s wife, and Allison, his daughter, called him a hero who made himself a shield against disaster for his family through a message posted on social media.
