Continued Protest Gatherings in Various Iranian Cities

Protest gatherings in various Iranian cities continue even after two years have passed.
For the past two years, the protest gatherings that began following the killing of “Mahsa Amini” remain as strong as ever. Many segments of society, including retirees, have been protesting for months due to non-receipt of their claims and salaries, yet they have still not succeeded in obtaining their overdue payments.
On today, Monday, August 19, a number of nurses and medical staff at hospitals “Hashemi-Nejad,” “Emdad,” “Velayat,” and “Khatam-Al-Anbia” in Mashhad, “Kashani” hospital in Isfahan, and several nurses in Ahvaz gathered in front of the governorate building of this city to protest the addressing of their claims.
In addition, a number of employees of the Pars Oil and Gas Company at site two “Kangan,” site one “Assaluyeh,” and Fajer Gas Refinery in Kangan held protest gatherings at their workplaces, and several employees of the South Pars Oil and Gas Company gathered in front of one of the company’s buildings in Assaluyeh to protest.
Employees of government agencies held protest gatherings to receive their claims at a time when the Iranian government is thinking of avenging Ismail Haniyeh’s blood from Israel and is seeking to provide weapons and hire people against Israel, spending exorbitant costs, while more than three years have passed since the suspension of payments to formal and contract employees, yet the government is still focused on power struggle and revenge.
