Political Asylum Request of ‘Saeid Beyat’ in Germany

‘Saeid Beyat,’ former political-security deputy of the Islamic Republic, announced his political asylum request to Germany.
According to published reports, ‘Saeid Beyat,’ former political-security deputy of the Governance of Rey City who served as governor of Robat Karim County from 1395 during the Rouhani administration, has announced his political asylum request in Hamburg approximately 8 months ago.
He was the governor of Robat Karim County during the bloody November 2019 uprising and was the primary suspect due to the deaths of people in Robat Karim. After the bloody November 2019, he worked as the general director of national and immigrant affairs in the Tehran Governorate, and was dismissed in the late Rouhani administration following the disclosure of his financial violations.
The reason for his asylum announcement to Germany is not yet clear, but people in response to his asylum announcement said: ‘He should certainly be prosecuted for the crimes he committed during the December 2017 protests in Rey City and the bloody November 2019 in Robat Karim.’
