Christians Killed and Wounded in Myanmar Army Airstrikes

An airstrike by the Myanmar military in the border region with India has resulted in the deaths and injuries of Christian citizens in a church.
According to the “MMN” news agency, a military fighter jet from the Myanmar army bombed a village near its border with India that is controlled by opposition forces. The village in question was attacked by the Myanmar military with four large bombs.
The attack by the Myanmar military fighter jet on this village occurred on Sunday, January 14, and one of these bombs struck a church in the village. Christians were holding a church service on Sunday when a bomb hit the church building, resulting in the deaths and injuries of some of those present in the church.
According to released reports, as a result of the bomb striking the church building, at least 9 children and 11 adults were killed and approximately 20 people were wounded. The survivors of the aforementioned attacks have been filled with concern and terror from the Myanmar military’s assault and have been engaged in prayer for an end to these attacks.
In the past, church leaders in Myanmar had called for an end to war and violence against religious sites in the country; however, Myanmar’s military has placed on its agenda, over the past three years, the overthrow of “Aung San Suu Kyi,” the country’s civilian leader, the end of the democratic period, and the suppression of opposition in the country. Sunday’s attacks were carried out to implement pre-determined plans.
