Statement from Assyrian Chaldean Churches of Tehran Regarding Kerman Tragedy

The Assyrian Chaldean Churches of Tehran have released a statement regarding the deadly tragedy in Kerman.
“Grigor Chiffchyan,” the Primate of All Armenians of Azerbaijan, referred to the Kerman incident as “Bloody Wednesday” and issued a statement while condemning this tragedy.
The text of the statement from the Assyrian Chaldean Churches of Tehran, issued on Thursday, December 5th, is as follows:
“Global arrogance and terrorist Zionism have committed a heinous crime that pains the heart of every honorable and conscious person. While the heroic people of Kerman gathered at the shrine of Martyr Qasem Soleimani on the anniversary of his death to commemorate his unforgettable memory, over one hundred lost their lives and more than two hundred were wounded. This tragedy is yet another dark stain in history whose shame will forever remain upon the devil-like terrorists.
We, the clergy of the Assyrian Chaldean Christian Churches of Tehran, while condemning this inhumane act and expressing our condolences to the families of the esteemed martyrs and wishing swift recovery for the wounded of this heartbreaking incident, extend our deepest sympathies to the Supreme Leader, all government officials, authorities, and the noble people of Iran, and we emphasize that we have always stood beside our dear compatriots.”
The above statement was signed by the Bishop of the “Assyrian Church of the East in Iran,” the “Assyrian Chaldean Catholic Church of Tehran,” and the “Assyrian Evangelical Church of Tehran.”
